Kilobyte Couture: the reincarnation

For those of you that know me personally, you may know that for a while I had a promising little business called Kilobyte Couture making jewelry and trinkets out of capacitors, LEDs, & resistors. The jewelry line led to my book deal with Watson-Guptill Publications. The book was titled Kilobyte Couture, and it was something I put my heart and soul into. I created the 25 projects, I wrote all the text & project tutorials (with the lovely help of Mr. Josh Doty & the Watson-Guptill team), I drew all the illustrations, and took 100’s of candids shots to be included. In short, that book killed my love for my sweet baby Kilobyte Couture. I decided to take a short break until marketing needed to be ramped up for the book release.
Fast forward a few months and I was in the biggest depression I have ever been in my life. Yep, it was time for that ol’ Quarter Life Crisis. The release of my book came and went. There was no big hurrah, no parties, no signings.
As I am writing this, it is over a year after my book release, and finally I have climbed out of that depression and I am ready to start creating beautiful things again. I love Kilobyte Couture and the way it combines my passions of making things with my hands & designing with my mind. I can not wait to share with you the things I have planned for the months ahead.
